The Incredible Power of INDIBA® Activ
INDIBA® Activ is a radio frequency device that uses a unique 448 kHz current to stimulate cellular repair and regeneration, reducing pain and swelling and accelerating healing for both acute and chronic conditions in musculoskeletal, pelvic health and sports injuries. It combines non-thermal and thermal effects and can be integrated with manual therapy and exercise.
Our spa massage methods
Relax and unwind in the hands of our experts. Enjoy a customised massage addressing the areas that require attention.
INDIBA® Activ may be recommended for individuals who:
- Are following a structured rehabilitation or recovery program
- Are managing acute or chronic musculoskeletal injuries
- Are recovering from surgery or traumatic injury and require support with swelling, bruising, fluid retention or scar tissue remodelling
- Want to incorporate radiofrequency therapy into a broader practitioner-led recovery plan
Suitability will still depend on your medical history, current condition and treatment goals. A professional assessment is important before beginning treatment, particularly if you are recovering from surgery or managing an ongoing health condition.
Your first appointment will begin with an assessment of the area being treated and a discussion about your current symptoms, medical history and treatment goals. If INDIBA® Activ is considered appropriate, your practitioner will explain the proposed treatment approach before the session begins.
Conductive cream is applied to the treatment area, and a return plate is positioned on the body. Your practitioner then moves a handheld electrode across the skin using slow, controlled movements. The treatment settings can be adjusted throughout the session depending on the area being treated and your comfort.
Most people can return to their usual activities after an INDIBA® Activ session, although aftercare may vary depending on the area treated and the reason for treatment.
Your practitioner may recommend:
- Staying well hydrated after your session.
- Avoiding strenuous exercise for the rest of the day if advised.
- Limiting excessive heat, such as saunas, steam rooms or very hot showers.
- Treating the area gently and avoiding firm massage unless recommended.
- Following any rehabilitation, mobility or post-operative instructions already provided by your healthcare team.
- Contacting the clinic if you experience persistent discomfort or an unexpected reaction.
